What lotion is everyone using for their babies? Especially if they have sensitive skin. I've used 3 different baby lotions, and neither seems to do anything.
My son only has issues on his legs, but they're really dry and get little bumps on them. I thought they were excema (runs in my husband's family), but the aveeno excema cream isn't helping.
Can I use Gold Bond or Eucerin if he's almost 6 months?

Coconut oil is great :) earth mama. Tallow

Our pediatrician recommended cerave for my son with sensitive skin. Just got through a really bad eczema/cradle cap rash behind his ears that needed nystatin.

There’s an app called Yuka that you can scan or search products to check the ingredients!

I use cetaphil baby lotion and organic jojoba oil. The jojoba oil cured his cradle cap and surprisingly worked on a new diaper rash he got. You can get both on Amazon and the cetaphil lotion smells amazing for after bath time and is dermatologist recommended

@Samantha thank you! We use cerave already for us, so I'll try it!

@Aisia I've heard of the app but was told it was for food, didn't think it worked on other products. Thank you!

I use Goats Milk Lotion on my little one!! Anything else and she gets a super bad rash

Hmmm would you mind taking a picture? It could be seborrhea, which is actually caused by excess oils but only feels dry. We had an issue with that and started washing our son with coal tar shampoo (TGel) in areas that seemed to be an issue and it cleared it right up. It’s stinky though… so only use a little. Since then we wipe him down with just a wet wash cloth a few times a day with diaper changes. Bath time we use Cerave for his head and privates. And J&J lavender everywhere else and we haven’t had any issues. On his face I use J&J sensitive lotion though. Don’t like the idea of something scented on his face.

Vaseline

Organic cold pressed coconut oil. From head to toe, except for her face, I just use warm distilled water to clean her face 1x a day. Less is more when it comes to products 😉

Tubby Tod 🙌🏼

@Erin his bumps are where his bandaids were placed after his 4 month shots (he turns 6 months next week), they don't really come out in pictures since it's a really small spot and the same color as his skin

Just saw the derm for my daughters eczema, nothing was working! Told us to use petroleum jelly all over her skin as maintenance ( we used to use aquaphor but lanolin in the aquaphor could be a sensitivity trigger) . We did this after using a topical low dose steroid cream for about 3-5 days twice daily and it’s improved tremendously. The plain petroleum seems to be our new twice daily solution and it’s working well and all topical steroid was stopped after the initial 3-5 days.

Yes to coconut oil too! That was our next trial if the Vaseline petroleum jelly didn’t work.

, glad to hear Vaseline worked for you! I'll keep that in mind for my son, he did react to the lanolin in aquaphor.

Thank you all! It sounds like coconut oil and Vaseline are the go tos. I have both at home so I'll try them out and see which works best!

Eucerin eczema therapy

Tubby Todd, Maty’s All purpose ointment and Vaseline has worked for my little one.

Huge fan of Tubby Todd, can’t recommend it enough

I use Cera ve on my baby. It seems to work well on her. I use the baby specific one because according to Google the adult one has some ingredients babies shouldn’t have. I don’t know if it’s actually true or not.

Try vanicream for baby

Vaseline and mustela
