Itch relief

I was diagnosed last week with Cholestasis, my levels were 12 3 weeks ago when the itching first started and 29 then 2 weeks ago, the itching just keeps getting worse, I'm still waiting on last week's bloods to come back but I'm worried they are much higher now than at the last test with the amount I'm itching, the problem is, my next bloods aren't until Wednesday and will then take a week to get back so it's always playing catch up.

Should I call triage in the morning or the midwife tram as the itching has got a lot worse?

Is there anything I can do to stop the itch? Lotions don't work, cool showers only give relief for 10 minutes, I'm on antihistamines. I'm getting 3 hours sleep at night due to the amount of itching but now even during the day my palms and feet are unbearable

My level was also 12 and the itching got worse. They didn’t end up testing again, and I went to triage and got some menthol lotion, which really helped. They also increase my Ursodiol

The menthol cream isn't touching my hands or feets, it's 5am and I e been awake since 1am with the pain, it's now a really bad Sting. Will call the midwife tomorrow

Hi, I am in a similar position to you my levels went from 17 to 45 quite rapidly. I read online that showering with ‘grandpa’s pine tar soap’ 2-3 times a day helped.
I ordered some from Amazon about 5 days ago (it doesn’t have a pleasant smell) and after 3 days of using twice a day (lathering it up and leaving on for 5 mins then washing off in cold/ lukewarm water) my itchiness/ rash has definitely improved. Then I put calamine lotion on 3 times a day 1 hour after showering and during the night if I’m itching. It has definitely helped me. Hopefully you can get some relief, it is unbearable 😭🙏🏻 xx

Normally the itching does get worse. I’ve had it 3 times. I think watching what you eat helps. Nothing too greasy. Also, these helped as well…

Lotions don’t help at all. What did seem to help was getting out and distracting myself. If I scratched myself it would just make it worse. What did help me was a massage gun in the itchy area…not too much or too hard cause then it the same thing as scratching. Also something called Zims Max Freeze Cooling Liquid and a back scratcher but not to scratch just graze my skin. And cold baths or showers.
