What is your IUD experience

I have been debating recently because the Nexplanon makes me feel like i havs motion sickness and I hate dealing with needing refills from the pharmacy. I recently found out during the insertion process they CLAMP your cervix ?! Is this true? Has anybody actually had a not-so-terrible insertion? Which IUD did you use? I was thinking the nonhormonal but a coworker uses I think Kyleena and said good things

I had the Skyla which is a 3 year w/ low dose hormones. I never had any issues! I had it for 9 years and recently got it removed in February since we are TTC now! Just be mindful of the effects, especially long term. Every body is different but I’m currently in a position of stress and worry because I don’t know being on it for so long what it has done to my body and hormones. Thankfully a month after I got it removed I started my cycle, I didn’t have a period the whole time I was on it! It’s super quick getting it inserted. All they do is go in, they will measure you so they know how far to push up the IUD which takes 2 seconds then they insert the IUD then you’re done! Super quick, pretty easy, a little uncomfortable but nothing you can’t handle! I know some women that ended up having to get it removed because they wouldn’t stop bleeding but for me like I said, my periods went away completely!
