Night sweats

I’ve been experiencing quite bad night sweats. I’m still breastfeeding so I presume it’s to do with that from low oestrogen. However it feels like going through menopause especially with all the migraines before my period starts. I was just wondering how common it is or whether it’s just me

I don't breastfeed but since giving birth I've been suffering terrible nightsweats. Unfortunately there isn't much help for it...I woke up so soaked the other night my fingers were shriveled, like when you come out a bath

I’m still breastfeeding, but I tend to get nights sweats a few days before my period is due to start.

I also get night sweats and migraines in the days before my period starts x

@Olivia its terrible isn’t it, sorry you’re going through this. Have you had it checked? Although like you say im not sure anything could be done for it

Ive called the doctor multiple times. The advice was cotton sheets and light clothes. Its at its worst when my period is about to start. I sleep on a towel and a towel as a blanket sometimes. And when I sweat so much I am freezing. They are going to put me on contraception to see if that helps.

@Olivia oh gosh ok. Hope the contraceptive medication works and eventually your hormones will normalise. I can really relate to the getting cold after sweating bit especially as I still get up few times at night to feed. And also when going to bed you don’t sweat so cotton sheets are freezing!
