Period mood

Has anyone found a way to truly manage their mood during their period? I don't like myself on my period

I just use mindfulness and I refuse to use my period as an excuse. I feel like a big part of it is owning up to upper poor behaviors. I always make sure I acknowledge that what I did or said was not OK regardless of if I’m on my period or not. It helps me remember that I’m still in charge of my actions and reactions even when I’m on my period and hormones are wild.
