I have the iud I hope it was a good path been 2 weeks since I gave birth and got it in

I have the implant and I get really bad hot flashes but it has kept me for not having another baby

Following this because this is such a tough one for me. In the past I’ve used the combo pill, iud and the mini pill and experienced side effects with all of them. I’ve had friends that like the depo shot but some gain weight on it and some don’t 🤷🏻‍♀️ the mini pill made me gain weight, iud gave me bad cystic acne and I feel like my mood was much more wonky when on birth control. But at the same time, I want something that’s reliable. Curious to see what others like!

I have the Skyla IUD it is the highest rated of all the IUD birth controls, and gets changed frequently. I was worried about it getting lost inside so changing it every 3 years makes it hard for it to get lost like the copper one. I love it I’ve had no side effects and all and insertion and removal is so easy! Check internally once a month to make sure you can still feel the string.

I’ve tried every form besides the implant in your arm. My favorite that didn’t mess with my hormones too much was the nuva ring, it’s really easy to use. Will definitely be going back on it soon.

I get really bad side effects from hormonal birth control, everything I tried, so I use the natural cycles app and the oura ring. The ring is expensive I got it on discount when it was first released in partnership with the app. You could use the app without it but then you have to take your temperature every morning which I used to do. But I think it's worth it. When it comes to cost and effectiveness it's just as good as birth control and I prefer it because it makes me feel so much better and makes me feel in control of my body more.
