Can strangulation cause damage on the neck
My bd choked me so hard about a week ago, this was the first time he’s done this, i am trying to leave this relationship. I had marks on my neck that looked like hickeys, I can’t swallow properly it hurts so much , I thought maybe I was getting sick or something but it not getting anybetter … i was wondering if this could have done any damage on my neck area

Agreed— get yourself to the doctor to check out your neck, your health, and (if you’re currently pregnant), the baby’s health. I’m not totally caught up with your whole situation, so apologies if they’re already here! And if they are, your little one, all the more reason to leave. Go to the hospital & report the incident. It’s assault & choking is also pretty much attempted murder bc ppl die easily when choked. It’s the quickest way a stronger person can kill someone. It could bruise your neck muscles badly and probably deep enough to feel on your windpipe.
i’m not sure of the damage that can be done to your neck. However as someone currently going through a DV battle, go to a dr or hospital this will help your case if you ever decide to report him to the police in the future. Give yourself options. because if he can do this to you he can and will do it to your child, i hope this helps xxx
