Milestone delays

My little one is almost 17 months. Doesn’t walk yet only takes a few steps but always wants to walk holding our hands. Can’t stand independent without holding on to something. Climbs everywhere and crawls and cruises. Only says a couple of words but not consistently. Understands a lot of language and instructions but if they want something will mainly point. I am so worried they are behind. I know they are a late walker but now worried about speech too am I the only one. At what point do I get worried and speak to someone? Thank you

Yours sounds at the exact same stage as my boy but don’t worry! I had my sons first parents evening this week and his nursery said the none walking at this age is actually really common and more of a confidence obstacle, and with speaking for us to read more and explain what’s happening in the book to try and encourage single words but that it’s not an ‘issue’ until they’re 2 years old!

Bless you I’m having a delayed situation with my sons eating he just won’t eat anything other then weetabix (fruit mixed in) or yogurts and milk and it’s really worrying me !! Also my son crawled at 11 months & properly started walking at 16months xx they will do it in their own time try not too worry too much xx every child has their own pace and will only do it when they feel ready 🩵

My son's the same pretty much but won't even point 🤣 I'm not worried
