Morning Sickness

Hello!

I wanted to know if it’s normal to have constant morning sickness. I’m 6 weeks and 5 days and since the beginning of last week I’ve been nauseous steadily.

Not really on and off, I have very short off nausea times and then it’s just full on nausea the entire time. It even affects my sleep too.

Are there any recommendations or maybe anything I need to be worried about.

My dating ultrasound is in two weeks and I don’t have a family doctor yet. They’re so hard to find.

P.S my first pregnancy.

It may be normal. I’m nauseous 80% of the time I’m awake 😭
Try ginger tea or peppermint tea. You can usually take gravol as well but the peppermint tea helps for me. And sipping on ice cold water or gatorade on ice helps as well. Hope it helps! 💐

It’s definitely normal. My local pharmacy prescribed me doxylamine and it’s been a game changer.

I was going through this too! However my first doctors appt was this past Tuesday and I got prescribed diclectin and what a difference it made! I woke up the next morning almost in tears from being so happy that the nausea had subsided. I almost forgot what it felt like to feel without nausea because it had been so bad. Made a world of a difference!

With my first pregnancy I didn’t have any nausea, this one is all the time 🫣
I spoke with my midwife today and she sent me their guide to cope with nausea, but if it got worse or I couldn’t manage it then they could prescribe something.
This is the link if it helps 😊

I know family doctors are really hard to find. I couldn’t find one with my first pregnancy, I went with a maternity clinic instead. They were fantastic and are available around the clock. They also helped me sign up with a family doctor for hospital registration and continuing care after 6 weeks postpartum. I’m not sure if you have them in your area, but they may be easier to see than a family doctor.
I hope your nausea gets better soon!!

My morning sickness is also basically 24 hour sickness. I can’t seem to keep much down for the past 2 weeks. I am 8 weeks 4 days. I haven’t spoken about it to my doctor yet but after reading the above comments I am going to ask about medication to help. Ginger candy hasn’t really helped much for me.

Hi I tried the remedies. They were all really helpful but none really worked for me till I got the diclectin prescribed.

It has honestly helped a lot, at least I have appetite now and the nausea only comes occasionally.
