Frustrated with teethers?
My LO gets so quickly frustrated with teether toys in his mouth. He reaches for them and desperately wants them, seems to enjoy gumming the crap out of them, but then out of no where just starts wailing. I’m not sure if they start hitting him wrong or he can’t manipulate them to the right spot? It’s to the point where I’ve stopped offering most toys because he gets so frustrated. Now I’ve started spoon feeding him, the same thing is happening with the spoon in his mouth. He’s enjoying the food but once he starts gumming the spoon, a meltdown is imminent. I want to encourage him to hold the spoon himself and explore, but I don’t know what to do! Every feed is ending in tears. Anyone else experiencing this??

Idk, my little man aggressively chews. Goes into Hulk mode. I think its normal as they are pushing their guns for relief. He isn't in pain, just sounds mad with every teether!!
Mine does the same! He will start high pitch screaming when his toy makes him upset (I assume). It's awful 🙃
For my kiddos, that's when I usually give them medicine for the tooth pain. I've noticed chewing on teethers but having it frustrate them is usually my warning sign that tooth pain is going to start a crying fit soon. I've used the topical type, but they don't seem to do a lot for him, so I use infants/children's ibprofin or acetaminophen. Babies also usually have their first dentist appointment around 6mo, even if you can't see teeth yet. You can talk with them about your concerns and what might help as well.
