So did you say no before they bought it? I'd straight up tell them you said "do not buy this for me I will not use it" and that you didn't need it when they offered and you still don't need it now. Maybe they have someone else they know that could use it. Or if they really won't let up tell them "I'll take it and sell it or give it to someone who needs it, because I dont."

Just make them aware that if you take it, it definitely isn't gonna be kept. Maybe have it in writing so they can't get upset with you when you do get rid of it in whatever capacity.

I would sell it or give it to a charity they don’t need anything in writing they gave u something u don’t want no reason to keep it and if possible cut them off if they can’t understand no. My mil doesn’t understand no either she gave me a big bag of clothes I didn’t want cuz she can’t fit in it anymore and I just left them to sit in the bag for months when she seen them months later she took back her clothes. Idk why she thought a 24 year old would want someone’s clothes that are almost 70 years old. Even my bf was weirded out he wouldn’t want to go outside with me wearing his moms clothes lol
