Help

Hi all,

I’m in need of some help/advice. My little boy has suddenly stopped drinking his milk as he used to. He is 12 weeks old and was drinking 5oz, 6 times a day using SMA pro formula. We tried to up his ounces to 6 but he wasn’t finishing his bottles so went back down to 5. But now he’s hardly drinking at all, he’s not finishing his bottles and when he is drinking he’s spitting it back out, moving his head side to side and is sometimes crying. I’m a first time mom so this is all new to me and I don’t know what to do. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

it’s worrying isn’t it!

Same is happening to my little one (11 weeks today) , GP said it could be reflux but gaviscon / infacol hasn’t made a difference. Then you end up going down a rabbit hole on Google finding all these other crazy reasons as to why this might be!! He is also on the 9th percentile so that doesn’t help either him being on the smaller side !

have you tired upping the teat ? We tried this yesterday, changed to Mam bottles teat size 2, and oh my days he is like a new boy! No more fussing and he almost enjoys his formula now ! Could give it a go if you haven’t already ? He’s nearly over his daily average amount and we’ve still got two more feeds to go ! X

Did you ever figure out why this was? My baby is doing the exact same and I’m not sure why x

my boy just grew out of it, perseverance! He was going through a growth spurt at the time so I just put it down to that, not entirely helpful I know! Xx

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?
