Prostin gel experiences?
Hi all, I’m wondering if anyone can share their experiences of induction with Prostin gel?
I’ve had two lots of the gel and then felt around 6 hours of contractions and quite severe backache… this, disappointingly, seems to have died down this morning and am due to have a third lot of gel in a few hours. Not feeling very hopeful and already tired.
Has anyone had any success after a third lot of Prostin?

Hello, I was induced 2 weeks ago and I was told the prostin gel causes contractions and then it's up to your body to carry the contractions on.. If that makes sense. I had the exact same thing and thought something was happening and then someone told me the above. Very disappointing 😞
After my 2nd lot of gel I was due to be checked at 0200am but the midwife said if I was sleeping she'd let sleep so I actually waited 12hrs after my 2nd lot of gel to be examined and was finally 2cm so could have my waters broke.
Hang on in there.. it feels like such a long process but it will happen and you will be meeting your baby soon 💛
