NIPT results - so relieved

Yayyy! I’m sure that’s such a huge relief!! Did your NIPT test for any sex chromosome abnormalities or mosaicism, partial trisomy, or translocations?

no it just check for the 3 they look at with the combined test

That’s absolutely fantastic news I had to have the nipt bloods today as told I had 1 in 34 chance of baby having downs I’m so scared xx

was your PAPP-A low? Mine was extremely low which is why I think my results came out so low on the combined test. Fingers crossed for your results xx

anything under 0.40 mom is low, yours is fine. Mine was 0.18

what is PAPP-A?

Mines 0.54 x

it’s a protein that is produced by the placenta, as mines low I will have extra monitoring to check it’s working ok and keep an eye on babies growth. Been put on aspirin to help with the blood flow. There is a link between low PAPP-A and some conditions which is why I think mine came up high risk
