Do you talk to your bump? I haven’t started yet but I don’t really know what to say 🤣 feels bit weird to me, if you talk to yours what do you talk about? X

Just talk out loud to yourself and sing along to your music. It doesn't have to be directly to bump.

We have car chats, when I'm driving somewhere. Either a song or just a natter about random items like why I'm going into town today.
Then night time chats with my partner when I put on the stretch mark cream. I talk all day in my job and we sing and dance to TOTP2 (BBC4) on Friday nights!
But yep feels weird 🤣 she doesn't chat back yet!

I always say hello to him when he kicks 🥰 if he’s particularly active I’ll also say “wow you’re really active today” 🥰 I also touch where he’s kicking a lot especially when I say hello ☺️ xx

I always say "Good morning, little girl" when I feel the first kick of the day.

I always talk to mine, I read him books, sing to him and when he starts kicking I'll say something like "oh hello sleepyhead"

I sing along to songs I like, but I talk directly to bump Infront of my partner when calling my partner a knob or a Muppet lol 🤣 makes my partner laugh sometimes even gets a kick or two from our little boy ❤️ I also talk to him when he's being particularly active and comment on it

I’m with you on this 😂 Midwife told me to do it for ‘bonding’ however I don’t know what to say either haha

I struggled with this with my first. Now I just chat to my daughter, read books to her and sing to/with her. Baby can hear me loads that way lol.

I read The Hobbit out loud on nights when I'm not too tired, otherwise I mostly sing along to my music, or call my partner over for him to have a wee chat when the baby is very active. It does feel weird talking to yourself, but like others have said it doesn't have to be directly to the baby, and I do find it easier to just narrate what I'm doing rather than force an imaginary conversation, like my dad doing stuff on the computer "click here... Now I go there... Oops, forgot to copy... Paste here..." 🤣

I also talk when I’m driving , just talking about what I’m doing today and give her some gossip, sometimes moan about her dad 😂😂

My partner always speaks to my bump and it made me realise that I don’t actually speak to it 🤣 but baby is with us all the time so will hear us talking regardless and recognise our voice whereas I think for the dads it’s a nice bonding getting baby used to his voice,
However I’ve started trying to talk to him more especially when he’s really active or say good morning to him, when I’m singing in the car, but tbh I don’t think it matters if you talk directly to baby because they won’t know anyway lol just talk out loud about anything to yourself! X

I say good morning son when he’s active and good night! and I’ve started singing songs out loud! My other half speaks in silly voices to him , I’ve also told him to stay out and keep going strong 😂 then I get kicked nice and hard 😂 xx

Hey! Yeah, I also say hi when he kicks (I’m 23 weeks atm) or being particularly active, and then usually give my tummy a rub before I go to bed and tell him about my day. It’s a bit odd sometimes but I’m hoping it’s growing a bond - because sometimes I feel a bit disconnected! X
