Fibroids in pregnancy

Curious if anyone else dealt with fibroids in their pregnancy? I have a pretty large one, about 5-6 inches. I am 17 weeks pregnant and wondering how it’s going to effect me.

My doctor told me not worry, I have one that’s about 4 inches. You’re not alone I still worry.

Same here, I was told that it doesn’t affect pregnancy, except maybe press on your bladder more if located in a spot contacting the bladder like mine

I have fibroids too but they were small when I got pregnant they are watching them to make sure they don’t grow.

I have a few fibroids. Doctor doesn’t seem too concerned about them but I did some research on how to shrink them or keep them from growing. Ive cut out meat and added vitamin A rich fruits like oranges and grapefruit.

I have one doctor told me it can grow as baby grows and typically shrink after delivery. But we’re just watching it carefully

Are you describing myoma? My sister has it outside and in the lining but not inside the uterus and she was advised not to get pregnant as it would result in miscarriage but I really suspect the dr didn’t know what he was talking about 🥴 can anyone tell me a bit more please about what they have and the location? She has 4-6 inches too and was advised to do surgery to get rid of them but maybe you girls have it inside the uterus and it’s different? Any info would be so appreciated please!!

Yeah my doctor says we will continue to watch the fibroid, it’s not in my uterus but at the top of my cervix. Just hope it doesn’t cause a lot of issues, he did tell me I would most likely need a C section.
