I have my gender scan later today and feel a bit unsure about how best to prepare. Do I need a full bladder? And any tips to make sure the baby is moving/able to see the gender?
Also feeling incredibly anxious that all is ok and baby is healthy!

I didn’t have a full bladder and didn’t do anything different beforehand and my baby was actually too active to see right away as she wouldn’t stay still 🙈 I’m sure everything will be fine, just remember to enjoy it ☺️ x

I had a full bladder for mine to ensure baby is pushed outwards for a clearer picture but I think it ultimately depends on position of the baby and whether they can get a clear potty shot. Mine took a while as baby was challenging the sonographer but don’t worry, they’re very experienced and will try their best to find it for you!

Try and have something sugary or a bit of caffeine first to get baby moving. It took a while for mine to get moved but they managed to find the gender at 15+1. I don’t think full bladder matters at this stage, they told me it’s just earlier on so they can see more x

I had sugary sweet and a can of coke still didn't make much of a difference had to move side to side and wiggle and poke my tummy he finally moved but took the sonographer a good 10 mins to find out his gender don't worry they will Try everything. Sonographers don't give up so easily xx
Thanks so much all, baby was very stubborn but we got there in the end, one healthy baby girl! 🩷
