Concerned about baby’s weight.

At my last appointment, my doctor informed me that my baby is weighting at 3 pounds and 5 ounces at 28 weeks gestation, and that the baby’s head is in the 90th percentile. My doctor had informed me to exercise 30-40 minutes a day and eliminate refined carbohydrates from my diet. Is anyone else experiencing this, or have any tips that can help?

Woah that seems extreme! Also like you are in the third trimester that much exercising probably is going to be super tiring.
At my 29 week ultrasound one of my babies(twins) was 3lbs5oz 70th percentile and the other was 3lbs15oz 90th percentile and they told me Nothing about my exercising more or changing my diet.
I mean im guessing they just dont want it to turn into gestational diabetes but im pretty sure around 28 weeks is when they should be about 3 lbs

Sounds like they’re concerned about gestational diabetes slipping through, walking or exercising 30-40 min a day will naturally help your body prepare for labor, and the refined carbs just gets swapped for whole grains. That doesn’t sound too bad, whole grains takes longer to process.

My guess if it is that, is that baby’s shoulders will get too big to fit through the birth canal. The head and shoulders bulk up first during the 3rd trimester!
