Am I wrong for this?

My in laws would drink every week. FIL drinks and smokes weed every day not to the point that he’s too drunk but enough to get sleepy. When pregnant they would always make comments here and there. I decided after having my second kid that I wasn’t ready to leave my baby with them until she could talk a bit. They’re obviously upset about it and it got to the point that it became an issue but they would never tell me anything. They would just tell my partner and didn’t know I would listen to what they were saying about me. But now mil is sick and most of the time tired and can’t really care for my youngest anymore. They won’t visit because they don’t like to. Specially when I’m around. Little context. I have 2 girls and most of the day it’s just me and them and it gets hard to go out with them alone. And in laws live right across the street. Am i wrong for not wanting to leave my kids with them? Specially now that I don’t work and I don’t want to waste any more time being away from them

No. ❤️ even just for the fact that YOU don’t want to & want to be with them. Simple as that even disregarding the things that make you uncomfortable

Not wrong at all, I don’t leave my kids with anyone who might be inhibited. If they want to see your kids, they can plan a time with you for them to walk across the street 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nope not wrong wt well. Like you stated right now you’re not working and you missed out on so much at work so I would be selfish and enjoy all the time you have with your kids alone. NO one should make you feel bad for wanting be with your kids. My lo not being babysit by anyone until she can talk too as I get exactly what your saying.

I would not leave my kids with someone who smokes weed.
