My boy has his first vaccines on Monday and I'm nervous! He's already quite up and down and has fussy days etc (normal I know) but I'm just nervous this is going to throw him off for the week.
What's been people's experiences so far? And how long did the effects last?
Any tips for helping little once feel better - just calpol and cuddles?

Just calpol x 3 doses and cuddles. Both my kids one is 17 months and my youngest is 8.5 weeks have just slept a lot after but been fine

If you’re breastfeeding then feed during the jabs as it’s an excellent painkiller x

My little girl had hers on Wednesday and was a little grumpy and slept a lot but by Thursday she was back to normal, lots of cuddles and 3 doses of calpol split throughout the day, I’d recommend keeping one dose for last bottle of the night to help settle overnight xx

Ours are Monday and I’m nervous too! I’m planning to breastfeed during and ask if they can show me how to give her a dose of calpol just before. Rubbing her legs gently where she is jabbed to help the fluid move and avoid it lumping there xx
Thanks everyone! Will pick up some Calpol on the way and breastfeed during, good idea!
