Sick 5 month old

My son has caught his first cold ever runny nose with a cough can I use regular vapor rub to ease congestion? Or is that too strong for his age ?

Baby vics is what I rubbed on my lo chest and feet along with using a humidifier and that helps provide relief

I use Vicks and alcohol on my 4 month old feet she is just fine I don’t put too much on her chest very litld
