My LG is 4 weeks old and I’ve been doing a bit of tummy time and things with her but I’m just wondering if there is other things I should be doing aswell in her wake windows as they are getting longer and I’m worried she’s getting bored or I’m not stimulating her enough when she’s awake. First time mum and I don’t wanna get it wrong. Added a out or the little monkey cause she’s just cute ☺️ Thank you

I’ve just been reading about the 5 F’s. Feeding, fresh air, floor time, free play and face to face interaction. I don’t think there’s much to do with them at this age! I’ll attach the link there’s a few good bits on there https://takingcarababies.com/wake-windows-and-baby-sleep

Honestly my little one hit 3 weeks last Wednesday and since then her wake windows jumped right up. I do tummy time, I have her upright on my legs and make faces and talk to her, I dance with her, I take her into the garden etc etc and she still has long wake windows - too long, she gets so grumpy, but she refuses to sleep unless we go for a walk 😅 even when I try and out her down for a sleep at the very first sign of tiredness!

You can’t get it wrong don’t worry! Not much you can do at this age other but can do tummy time, talking, singing, reading to them. The black and white sensory cards and blankets are good

Black and white cards and books are great. My little girl absolutely loves them. We sing and so tummy time which she doesn’t really like but she does like laying on her play mat on her back looking at the toys dangling down. Even just talking to them really helps with development and I read that copying the noises they make is good too. I was advised by the health visitor not to overstimulate and you don’t have to do something in every wake window. Even just singing and talking to them at this age is fine. Would definitely recommend the black and white flash cards and books though.

The black and white cards and mirrors I’ve found entertain my little one! X

Tummy time, walks in pram, singing to her, time in the play mat if you have one
