Eid Prayer/period

Salam Aleikum. I’m gonna start my period probably a day before Eid or on Eid and when I was talking to my friends about it and I told them how upsetting that I can’t take my step daughter and my daughter to Eid prayer then some of them were telling me I should still attend Eid prayer at Mosque but just sit in the back. Has anyone done this before? Is this even allowed ???
JazakAllah Khair

Walaikumsalaam. Yes, it’s definitely allowed, you’re not prohibited from entering the mosque or prayer space. You can just listen to the Eid khutbah together and just not do the prayer, you’ll sit on the side and let the others pray 🥰

Yes definitely go to the Eid salah you shouldn’t have to miss out just because your not praying. Ive done this many times and would go to the back right before the prayer started and many women tend to be sitting in the back too. Hope this helped!

I agree with these sisters. This is definitely a misconception! Take your daughter. There's very often women not praying in the back. We shouldn't be excluded! It may be a sickness or a hurt but it's not contagious!

Your daughter shouldn't feel that exclusion either!

In our masjids the women do not enter the hall where namaaz takes place but they sit outside and theres always a geoupof ladies sat there, some with young children and others who cant pray.

Defo go as the girls will enjoy being a part of the Eid celebrations
