I’ve had daily aura migraines for over a week now (just getting to 38w), been to triage twice and BP is fine and bloods just showed low iron so I’m now on tablets. Has anyone else had this? The midwives don’t seem to be worried but it’s a pretty extreme symptom out of the blue and difficult to work around.
Has anyone else had this? Either as a result of pregnancy itself or iron deficiency anemia? If so did iron tablets eventually help?

I had migraines with aura a lot as a teenager and into my early 20s (then periodically at different points since - now 28). They are really disruptive so I feel for you! 🫂
They were seen as hereditary or possibly hormonal for me (PCOS may have been a factor and had to avoid certain contraceptives). There wasn't much link or pattern, they just occurred when they would occur.
Were possibly slightly more common during periods of higher stress.
My iron levels were always normal, even when they were at the lower end of normal, it didn't change the rate of migraines personally.
I've only had 3 while pregnant, all during the most stressful and exhausting points. Rest and sleep were the main comfort and cure.
Not sure if that's any help at all but hopefully they settle down quickly for you 🥰

I’ve had this 3 times in the last 10 days now, had a few other pre eclampsia symptoms but they’ve never coincided with each other so my midwife wasn’t concerned. I’ve had low iron levels throughout my entire pregnancy (and for 3 years before hand) and have just hit the official criteria for iron deficient anaemia rather than being borderline but have only just started on iron tablets due to some failings my hospital doctors to prescribe correctly. I didn’t realise there was a link but this makes a lot of sense! I’ve also suffered from these on and off for years before so I guess that fits too x
