Baby not been weighed

I took my baby to all of his immunisation appointments but he's not been weighed since 8 weeks. I thought he would be weighed and measured at 16 weeks.

Do I need to contact anyone?

In my area (Suffolk) there are self-weigh clinics in the family ‘hubs’ and local libraries, you can also book in with a health visitor for weight and measurements too but I don’t believe they routinely weigh? My son wasn’t weighed at his 16w injections. This is just my area though, but worth looking into! ☺️ x

I thought it was just HV that weighed them. I think if you were concerned about his feeding/growth you could ask when you're next there and they could weigh.
I take my son to my local baby class and they have scales there. Or I've seen some people weigh themselves on scales at home and then hold baby and take away the difference x

Thank you both. I'm not necessarily concerned but would love some reassurance that he's on track really. I thought he'd be weighed at all his appointments 🙈.

I'll try weighing him at home 🙏🏼 thanks

We have clinics at different locations locally each day that we can take baby to be weighed. Your health visitor would normally have informed you of these clinics, might be worth an ask :)

HV meant to do a 14-16 week check but some trusts seem to have dropped it- you can see what the next page is in your red book x

Look for your local children’s center, they have weekly “sessions” to weight babies

Its a walk in clinic to get baby weighed now, you should have health visitors number in your red book and can find out the nearest one to you.
