We had a growth scan today as baby was measuring big and they said she's breach and around 6lbs, which is what my last one was when he was born! What are the chances of her turning now? Has anyone had this?

Scans after 28 weeks can be up to 20% incorrect and a "big" baby according to the NICE guidelines isn't a reason to induce. Baby can even turn during actual labour. Go on the spinning babies website, look into moxibustion and a chiropractor who does Webster technique. Im 33+1 and also breech - trying to use positive affirmations that it'll happen. I'm also having growth scans and my last one is on my estimated due date so I'll be leaving any decisions until last min xx

My sister in law's baby turned from breach at 37 weeks. Wishing you all the best 🤗💕

Hey I have had this I'm 35+5 now and baby has turned round in the last 2 days.
He's on 92nd centile EST 6lb10 at my last scan on Monday.
I will say last time they told me my child would be 7lb.5 at 37 weeks when I was induced he was only 6lb.
This time I know it can be wrong but I doubt it since I have GD

when you say decisions, do you mean about birth? Doesn't it have to be a section if breach?

that's reassuring! I so hope she moves❤️

oh amazing! So she still could move! Did you know they had moved? Did you feel it?

@Cat ❤️🦄 you can have a external cephalic version where they try and move your baby by giving your stomach muscles some relaxants (I think), you can also have a vaginal breech birth (search for the website breech beyond borders). Breech is another form of normal position, its just not that many midwives are now totally trained xx

haha definitely they can.
I knew he had.moved.because his movements suddenly felt a bit.different but I started getting bad lightning crotch from his head being down and feel a pressure when I walk now. Plus he's so big I can literally see his butt sticking out and when he moves his leg I see it roll across my stomach 😂
And from another.note
... I was born at 43 weeks... Apparently I was breech until 5 minutes prior to birth.
It does happen!

oh that's good to know! I'd much prefer vaginal, I don't know how I'd do recovery with my 4 year old as he has special needs and I can barely cope with him as it is xoxo

oh that's such a relief! I hope she moves ❤️ I've been panicking a bit lol. Thank you❤️ that's amazing about you! Omg xoxo

plus you could always watch positive breech birth videos ❣️

that's a fantastic idea! I'm going to do that 🙂❤️

Still lots of time for baby to turn head down! Also remember you can birth a breech baby

My little girl was breech and born at 7lbs 10oz at 36 weeks exactly via emergency c section. Had a scan about 3 days before due to bleeding and contractions and they could even see her lower leg or foot it was that deep down (footling breech). He did say with the measurements her could get he didn’t see her being able to turn but I don’t think she could’ve due to be a footling breech. Went into natural labour - waters and mucus plug gone - the one thing she was presenting was her shin 😣 sent down for emergency C-section due to this and her becoming distressed and she came out a very impressive 7lbs 10oz! I would definitely talk to them about whether they would be willing to turn baby/if they’re able to!
