12 weeks PP scar not healing
Hi all,
I’m 12 weeks PP and my scar is still not healing. I’ve already had one infection at 5 weeks PP (treated with antibiotics) and have now been prescribed clotrimazole cream to try and help with another infection. I feel as though I’m at my wits end because my scar is still open at both ends and feel like I can’t get back to myself until I am fully healed. Has this happened to anybody else? If so what have you done to overcome it?

12 weeks is still kind of early. Maybe you overdid it. Don't lift anything other than your baby. Don't exercise other than walking. Take vitamins, lots of vit C. Dry it well and gently after showers. Don't wear anything tight over that area.
I’m the same except I’m almost 4 weeks PP and on a second infection…wound closed in some places but oozing, smelly and bleeding in parts along the incision site…I’ve now got a red rash where the skin folds meet when sat up!
I know it’s difficult (I have 2 under 2 - 16mth and newborn) but I was literally told to lie down and let the air get to it and to keep hydrated, not have too much pressure on the wound either so when feeding baby I use a pillow over my stomach so he’s not leaning directly on it…I know he’s not heavy but it’s definitely more comfortable that way! x
