I don’t know why but my LB is waking up during the night screaming crying and will stand up in cot until he’s taken out. Been happening past few nights. He’s quiet as soon as he’s picked up. I’ll sit in the chair with him but he doesn’t fall asleep.
He has got a cold and teething slightly but no change there!
He ends up in our bed and we’ve never co slept he’s always been great at sleeping 7-7.
We don’t sleep well when he’s on our bed and he’s a wriggler and worried we will quash him.
Has anybody been through this. Past 2 nights it’s been around 1am, prior to that was 11pm. Before if it’s happened we’ve managed to get him back into cot but even when he’s fully asleep in our bed he still wakes up when doing transfer!
Doesn’t seem to be pain as he seems happy, maybe sleep regression, separation anxiety at night, night terrors? No issues going down just wakes up hours later, no issues at nap time x

It sounds a little like my boy. He has been waking up at around 1/2am, but I have been getting him out changing his nappy and giving him a drink of water then chill with him on the sofa for 20 mins and then laying him back down and he then sleeps through to morning. It's getting less now that hes having disturbed nights, so hopefully your little one is going through the same as mine and it eases up. Toddlers are cryptic little things! x
do you put the lights on? I haven’t been changing his nappy but been holding him on the nursing chair. I also haven’t offered a drink. I hope it’s a phase x

I put our living room lamp on the dimmest setting, so it's just a warm glow. He normally drinks a whole bottle of water and then is happy to go back down. I'm sure it is a phase. They are around that age when everything is changing aren't they x

My son has been the same over Easter. Normally settles on his own but would cry and kept waking up when we went to bed and would stand in his cot and scream. I read online that it could be a sleep regression so that’s what I’ve put it down too.
We just go in lay him down and give him his dummy and keep doing this until he settles himself.

How are things now?
My son is exactly the same at the moment, expect it’s now transitioned into going to bed.. he stands up and cry’s but is basically falling asleep standing up, but he’s worked himself up so much he just won’t go down without one of us there with him.
We think it’s a stage of separation anxiety, we had a bad sleep regression over Christmas so I am hoping it’s not that.
Have you tired just sitting next to him and holding his hand rather than picking him up? I know that’s easier said than done.
still the same really, we had one night where he slept through but woke up at 5:45. He’s been waking around 6 lately. Last night he refused to go down which is so unlike him, so I cuddled him for an hour ish and I put him back. I think it’s separation anxiety because he’s always played in his cot, chatted and been happy but now as soon as he opens his eyes he’s crying for us x
