38 weeks been having contractions on and off lost mucus plug this morning sat down to pee and was done but kinda felt a bulging nd kept pushing then I felt a gush what does amniotic fluid smell like?

It shouldn’t have a smell and should be clear

i’ve heard amniotic fluid is supposed to smell almost sweet, possibly like nothing, but not like pee. it can look clear or a tinge of yellow but if you see green or brown you want to go to the hospital as that could mean meconium in your amniotic fluid. i recommend watching Bridget Teyler on youtube she’s a birth doula and has had three babies herself, she has very informative videos regarding amniotic fluid!

If you couldn’t stop it from coming out it was definitely your water breaking its what happened to me kind of but in the hospital being induced i had to pee and thought i peed on myself and as soon as i got up it gushed out and my nurse confirmed it was my water 🤦🏽‍♀️

Monitor your contractions and if you are questioning, then call the nurse line for your OB (since you have to call before you go in anyway) and they will tell you when.

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

normal or infected?

5 weeks post c section , i went at the beginning of the week as my wound had opened completely different area to what’s leaking. was told it didn’t look infected. anyone know if this is normal coming off it, it’s only a little amount at a time

Rolling milestone at 5 months - What’s typical ?

Good morning ladies,

My daughter will be 5 months old tomorrow, but there’s still no sign of her rolling. She does tummy time and loves lying on her mat, playing with hanging toys above her and to the sides, but she only lifts her legs and doesn’t seem interested in rolling or moving sideways yet.

Anyone else the same or have your babies already learnt how to roll yet ?
