Cramps on depo shot

Does anybody else get like period cramps while being on the depo.? I've been on the depo since last year August and I get cramps here and there but no period at all.. Hurts so much that I take a Tylenol to help, I told my gynecologist about it and they just say to drink lots of water for it. Anybody else experience this.??
