Sit up pushchair

Have any of you moved your babies to the sit up section of the pram?
I feel my boy gets frustrated as he can’t see anything. I’ve seen some people say when they have good head control and some say 6m+ I don’t want to sit him fully upright as he can’t sit unaided yet but has good head control. my pushchair section with straps does lie flat but just wanted to tip him a bit so he can have a look around?

I moved my little boy the other day and was the best thing! He can now see everything and can put the back down to nap too so it’s helped us a lot as he was getting frustrated he was awake in the bassinet and couldn’t see so would cry and cry x

Thankyou everyone, I’ve just had a look and on the specification it says on the sit up bit from birth? I assume because I can lie it completely flat

I just changed also to a stroller (birth-4 y) i reclined a bit as he hates to lay flat ..and our walks improved a bit..i asked gp and said it’s ok as it’s not fully reclined..when he naps i lay him down

I haven’t moved him yet as it’s a bit too cold and exposed but I do use the car seat on the pram instead. Works a lot better! X

I ended up buying a cheaper stroller that he could parent face and lie flat in for now as he was hating the bassinet as he couldn’t see out! He absolutely loves it now and gets so excited when we put him in it for a walk!

I’ve moved my little girl and she’s 4 months.. she’s so aware of everything and didn’t like the thought of her laid on her back looking at a hood. So I sit her so she can see out but she’s not flat and she loves it so much c

Baby boy is here!

Just had baby boy this morning at 5:49am 🥹🥰 I was in labor for 10 hours and pushed him out within 9 pushes. I cried tears of joy for like 20 minutes. All that pain was worth seeing his adorable little face and chubby cheeks 🫶🏾

Obstetrician led

I’m having shared care between midwife’s and obstetrician.

My previous pregnancy I had extra growth scans as baby was measuring big and I had pre-eclampsia during labour and a full dilated emergency C-section.

This time round I’m having obstetrician appointments, midwives appointments, cervical length scan every two weeks from 16-22/24, and extra growth scans again .

I’m just finding it all a lot to process can anyone let me know there experiences and if they went on to have a happy pregnancy despite it

Polly??

My 3 year old son is completely insistent that baby sisters name will be Polly. I think he just got attached ages ago after hearing it shouted in the park and now it does matter what name we suggest, even if he says he likes it, he still insists her name is Polly.

Now I dont hate it but its not really what I imagine for my daughter either?? I typically like full (yet girly) names with a cute nickname that can work in either a professional setting or out of work.

I think Polly just feels like a cute nickname to me? Also, I had an imaginary friend heavily inspired by Polly Pocket as a child so I dont think that helps 🤣

We just cant seem to agree on any names as a family so a bit stumped!

Getting your induction call?

I have an induction booked for today, and was told I’d receive a call between 8 am and 9 am to let us know what time to head into the hospital. I haven’t received a call yet.

For the ladies who were induced, when did you receive your call/is it worth me following up with them? I’m sure we’ll get caught at some point soon and don’t want to be that irritating person chasing up necessarily 😂

C section advice

I am 34 weeks tomorrow and have been booked to have an induction at 37 weeks due to my waters leaking! They let me know today that I will be induced using the hormone drip and ive heard so many negative stories about the hormone drip and I also had a very negative induction on my first little girl. So I am looking into having an elective section instead. I know they can be frowned upon and I also know the recovery is alot harder than vaginally birth. But I genuinely think its my best option for me especially as my we live so far away from family and need to have someone come stay with our daughter.

Any advice would be appreciated on what to expect.
