Severe headaches and loose bowel

This might seem like tmi but I’m 35+6 pregnant, 36 weeks tomorrow I’ve been having a severe headache that paracetamol won’t cure and when I go toilet for a number 2 it all feels like it’s coming out much quicker and smoother then before and I think that’s what loose bowel movements are I’m not to sure if all this is normal as this is my first baby. My body been really achy and uncomfortable no matter how I sit stand or lay and I’ve been having crampy feelings in my back and lower belly. Is my body getting ready for labour ?

I'm not sure as I'm behind you but those symptoms sound like migraine too. I know you have to be careful with headaches as it can be pre-eclampsia. I've got a blood pressure machine so I can double check my migraines are actually migraines. I'd call the gp if I were you to check it's nothing to worry about xx

I’ve been feeling all of this minus the debilitating headache. But more tired than I’ve ever been. I honestly thought I was going into early labour last night. 😅 is this your first? X

hiya yes this is my first baby and I though that I was going into labour last night to and today I’ve been feeling so horrible and uncomfortable with this horrible headache x

I was asked to return to triage if I ever got a headache that wouldn’t clear with paracetamol. I didn’t ask what the reasoning was
it kind of sounds like your body is preparing for labour 🙏 you will do great

Baby boy is here!

Just had baby boy this morning at 5:49am 🥹🥰 I was in labor for 10 hours and pushed him out within 9 pushes. I cried tears of joy for like 20 minutes. All that pain was worth seeing his adorable little face and chubby cheeks 🫶🏾

Obstetrician led

I’m having shared care between midwife’s and obstetrician.

My previous pregnancy I had extra growth scans as baby was measuring big and I had pre-eclampsia during labour and a full dilated emergency C-section.

This time round I’m having obstetrician appointments, midwives appointments, cervical length scan every two weeks from 16-22/24, and extra growth scans again .

I’m just finding it all a lot to process can anyone let me know there experiences and if they went on to have a happy pregnancy despite it

Polly??

My 3 year old son is completely insistent that baby sisters name will be Polly. I think he just got attached ages ago after hearing it shouted in the park and now it does matter what name we suggest, even if he says he likes it, he still insists her name is Polly.

Now I dont hate it but its not really what I imagine for my daughter either?? I typically like full (yet girly) names with a cute nickname that can work in either a professional setting or out of work.

I think Polly just feels like a cute nickname to me? Also, I had an imaginary friend heavily inspired by Polly Pocket as a child so I dont think that helps 🤣

We just cant seem to agree on any names as a family so a bit stumped!

C section advice

I am 34 weeks tomorrow and have been booked to have an induction at 37 weeks due to my waters leaking! They let me know today that I will be induced using the hormone drip and ive heard so many negative stories about the hormone drip and I also had a very negative induction on my first little girl. So I am looking into having an elective section instead. I know they can be frowned upon and I also know the recovery is alot harder than vaginally birth. But I genuinely think its my best option for me especially as my we live so far away from family and need to have someone come stay with our daughter.

Any advice would be appreciated on what to expect.

Mums that have kids🥰

When you gave birth and came back home with your newborn. When people wanted to come visit you straight away. How did you feel?

Everyone has different experiences I’m so curious x
