I’m only 29 weeks (I will be 30 weeks this Sunday) can I start collecting colostrum now or is it too early? If so what’s the best way to collect and store this?

Nothing helpful to say other than hey due date twin🤩x

I was told not before 36 weeks as can cause labour. If you leak, you can collect but don't physically pump to release.
You'll get syringes from midwife at around 36 weeks I believe but you can buy them from Amazon for cheap. I'm sure there's plenty of videos on tiktok/YouTube of how to do it. You can collect and store in freezer for 6 months. Best speaking with midwife for all the information x

I started producing EARLY, like at the 4 month mark and I was told not to collect until 36 weeks because of what Hannah said, it could cause your body to go into early labor. I'm trying to wait until I hit 30 weeks to start collecting it

Advised to wait until after 36 weeks as it can trigger premature labour. Would speak to midwife first x
how did you collect

Feel free to dm if u want more details about my process so far but it was pretty simple just used an electric pump n used the syringes to collect from the bottles n store for later use.

Did it twice today once in the afternoon and again in the evening when i was leaking. Got 10ml the first time and 6ml the second time
