My newborn is 4 days old and she won’t settle in anything at night. Sleeps all day happily in Moses basket, ect but doesn’t like Moses basket, next to me crib at night. Any advice would be great as I’m having to pull an all nighter because she won’t settle 😴

Normal her days and nights are still mix, just have patience fed her and rock her to sleep, mine was the same will cry his lungs out and wouldn't sleep more than 15 min at the time and would be awake from 10pm to 3 or 4 am and then he would sleep the whole day like naps for 3 to 4 hrs at the time, I did not do much it last like 3 weeks but it would get better

Are you breastfeeding? My baby did not latch properly so it took baby and me those three weeks actually figure it out and then he would fall sleep in the boobies and learn little by little what was night

Unfortunately that all nighter will be the norm for you from now on here and there. One advice from mum to mum is just hang on in there. If you sense she wants to drink you give her to drink if shes not settling you try hold in different positions.. walk around with them.
Try a red light and white noise. Do not stop these all night.
Yeah I am breastfeeding. I’m also having some trouble latching

What has been working so far with our 5 week old is awake windows. Look this up, make sure baby has enough awake time during the day between their naps. Also getting them to contact sleep and then transfer them to the bassinet. Apparently they go into a deep sleep when they are close to you and good ways to help them feel even more secure is to pat their bum rhythmically and I hum or you can shush (it mimics the noise they heard in the womb) When you transfer, keep your hand behind their head for a few minutes, gradually slipping it out and also press down on their front for a few minutes (tricks them into thinking you are still holding them) Ij the early stages, it’s ok to just hold them and make sure they sleep. Your sleep will get better week by week but an overtired baby is much harder to deal with.
