Banging head in crib.

My LO keeps accidentally banging his head in his crib during the night. I know bumpers aren’t recommended so wondering if anyone has any suggestions or ideas on how to stop him from hurting himself?🤔

Also when do things like bumpers not become so dangerous for babies? Is there an age where things like bumpers, blankets, comforters can be introduced?

Following for this!!
My little boys does this!! We got told it’s just to remove him from the hv but he’ll headbang anything walls his playpen us! To the point he’s woke me up by headbanging his cot 😩

My baby does this too but the way the cot is designed the slats aren’t too hard and there’s a little bit of give in them so he doesn’t really hurt himself when he hits his head. Over time they’ll learn not to do it 😊 Cot bumpers are never considered safe as when babies are older they can use them to try to climb out of the cot.

The guidance says that comforters etc can be introduced from 12 months

I kept having this issue with my baby but banging his head on the top end of his cot, he now has a rolled up towel (the end of the towel is tucked into the cot so it can’t unravel) at the top end of his cot and it’s worked wonders
