It’s like just a SCH, I had one of my last pregnancy

Did you bleed a lot???

Avatar

I’ve bled quite a lot for 2 hours past a big clot and not the bleeding is slowing down. I’m not in pain which is strange as I always get period cramps.
Did you pass any clots with yours?

Avatar

Yes. I had a heavy bleeding including a golf ball sized clot shortly after getting home from the hospital after confirmed everything was ok, my daughter is 9 months old from that transfer. After it slowed down it was on and off spotting until it resolved at 14 weeks.

It’s very scary isn’t it! No one will see me for a scan as I’m only 5 weeks pregnant 😞 I guess I just have to monitor it and see what happens.
Did you have any cramping?

Avatar

I’m so sorry. Never had any cramping at all but it’s not abnormal if you do get some. If it is an SCH most of the time they are do resolve but always stressful. When is your scan?

Avatar

It’s next week. To be honest I haven’t had cramping just a bit of pressure. The bleeding almost stopped and my test has got stronger since this morning so hopefully these are good signs. I still have my pregnancy symptoms too 🤞

That’s super frustrating no one will see you. You can always go to the ER or Urgent Care if you have the means to do that. It can definitely be a SCH. I had one. Was 99% sure I miscarried. Called my fertility doctor right away, she had me come in and it was an SCH, which is apparently pretty common with IVF. I was put on bed rest until the clot was gone, which ended up being 5 weeks. My non fertility doc said they wouldn’t have put me on bed rest which was interesting. Take it easy if you can and hopefully it’s an SCH that will resolve itself without issues 🤞🏻

thank you for sharing with me. What week was yours? And was yours ivf?

Avatar

yes it was and they won’t scan me until 6 weeks as nothing will be seen. The bleeding has stopped now and my tests are still dye stealers. Apparently 50% of ivf pregnancies will bleed

Baby boy is here!

Just had baby boy this morning at 5:49am 🥹🥰 I was in labor for 10 hours and pushed him out within 9 pushes. I cried tears of joy for like 20 minutes. All that pain was worth seeing his adorable little face and chubby cheeks 🫶🏾

Obstetrician led

I’m having shared care between midwife’s and obstetrician.

My previous pregnancy I had extra growth scans as baby was measuring big and I had pre-eclampsia during labour and a full dilated emergency C-section.

This time round I’m having obstetrician appointments, midwives appointments, cervical length scan every two weeks from 16-22/24, and extra growth scans again .

I’m just finding it all a lot to process can anyone let me know there experiences and if they went on to have a happy pregnancy despite it

Polly??

My 3 year old son is completely insistent that baby sisters name will be Polly. I think he just got attached ages ago after hearing it shouted in the park and now it does matter what name we suggest, even if he says he likes it, he still insists her name is Polly.

Now I dont hate it but its not really what I imagine for my daughter either?? I typically like full (yet girly) names with a cute nickname that can work in either a professional setting or out of work.

I think Polly just feels like a cute nickname to me? Also, I had an imaginary friend heavily inspired by Polly Pocket as a child so I dont think that helps 🤣

We just cant seem to agree on any names as a family so a bit stumped!

Mums that have kids🥰

When you gave birth and came back home with your newborn. When people wanted to come visit you straight away. How did you feel?

Everyone has different experiences I’m so curious x

Movements

How are people with no obvious ‘pattern’ monitoring baby movements?

My babies movements vary so much day to day, there is no pattern I can see whatsoever.

For example, over the weekend i felt him a few times during the day but nothing crazy, Monday & Tuesday he was wild in there and I felt movement on and off all day, today back to a few times.

When it varies this much I have no idea how I’m supposed to work out what is ‘normal’ and when to be worried!!!

Growth scan!

I recently had a growth scan and baby is 3 pounds and 13 oz I’m currently 29 weeks and 1 day. I’ve been told that they want to check for diabetes next week. Is there anything to worry about?
