It’s a bit expensive but it will last until he’s in booster seat. It’s an amazing thing and you won’t hurt your back getting him out.
Evenflo 360 , still rear facing my son is 37lbs and 42inches tall
Another vote for the evenflo 360, we have the gold version. Absolutely love it and have had zero issues with it. I would have kept her rf but my daughter started getting car sick a couple months ago so we flipped her and she's been ok since.
I have a maxi cosi pria 3 . It looks nice and ages with them. It can also tilt for newborns . So if need be it can be reused for another baby. It’s a bit wide at the sides where the cup holders are so if you have a small car I wouldn’t do it.
Another vote for the Evenflo 360 revolve extend or slim both are Rear facing until 50 lbs, my second is in that. My June baby is in a Graco Extend2Fit though and I love it. Lots of leg room and rear facing up to 50 lbs and 49 inches. Still rear facing here as long as possible as that’s what’s safest. Safeintheseat on instagram is a good resource for car seats
We got the Graco Extend2fit when our daughter grew out of her infant one. It’s rear facing up to 50 lbs.
Nuna from Uber
Britax One4Life, pricey but I was sold on the easy install. It is bulky and heavy though. We also have a Graco slimfit3 this is also a nice car seat if you need something compact, my husband drives a smaller vehicle so it was perfect for his car.
Everflo 360, he’s been forward facing since he was promoted 18 months
