Second hand Como tomo bottles

I found 4 como tomo bottles at the thrift store. They are on my registry but I’m wondering if second hand bottles are good for baby? They were 2.99 for all 4!

The baby will be fine just clean them well I always suggest letting them sit in a bucket full of warm soapy water antibacterial soap if you have it , then dump that water out. Then actually wash them with the antibacterial soap.

These are what I use and love. You’ll just want to wash thoroughly, sanitize, and get new nipples for them

Just get new nipples

@River. (Riv) all soap is antibacterial if you let the soap sit long enough.

Get new nipples cause last baby might have bit or changed them. Put the bottles in hot soap water for a soak then wash later in the day. $3 for that bag is a good deal! I used these for my daughter and they worked great. Nice find.

That’s such a GREAT DEAL!!! I used second hand como tomo from Facebook marketplace. Sterilized them 3 times & then used them for the first 18 months of my baby’s life.

I would soak in hot water and soap, and if you have a sterilizer!

I didn’t get new nipples. 😅 If they don’t look chewed on or torn I don’t see the need to buy new ones. You can sanitize AND sterilize them thoroughly.

That’s awesome! Great deal! Just what all the other moms have said, just clean them very well with warm soapy water and replace the nipples.

love to see a good thrift deal! just wash as you would with brand new bottles and your good to go! i love thrifting baby things, it can get expensive fast!

Thank you ladies! I really appreciate the advice. FTM💖

@Caitlin that is definitely not true and def info you shouldn’t be spreading.

@River. (Riv) BAHA yes Omg. Was shocked to see that comment

@River. (Riv) grabbing my champagne toast bath and body works foaming soap to clean my bottles ASAP 😂😵‍💫🥴

@River. (Riv) actually yes it is. That’s how soap works. It just can’t be labeled as such unless it goes through government testing. If you let the soap sit long enough the soap will dissolve the lipid layer around bacteria. Im a professional soap maker and medical professional who’s researched and done extensive testing on it. And I have a friend who’s a scientist and specializes in microbiology and studied this. But be an ignorant little fool that’s fine by me.

@Hannah it’s fine be ignorant I’ll believe all my testing and research into it and my friends. But ok dumbass

@Caitlin you know what you can literally say whatever you want with your whole chest out but if you’re gonna be a disrespectful person no one is going to listen to you regardless . I’d watch your tone with people.

I have some secondhand bottles I use occasionally, breastfeeding mostly. But I’ve never heard of any issues.

These bottles are super easy to clean thoroughly bc you can literally flip them inside out. Good find!

I actually got some of these from my buy nothing group and just cleaned them the same I would if they were new. Washing and sterilizing. My baby is refusing bottles so if anyone has any advice there, let me know!
