How long after MMC did you try again? Success?

So background I was supposed to be 12+6 on April 6th… had a scan on the 5th of April no heartbeat. Natural MC started on April 8th early AM. Today confirmed no retained tissue on my follow up ultrasound. Dr said to wait until July to try again but that seems really long. Thoughts ladies? I found out about this MMC 9 days before my 35th birthday… this was my third consecutive loss but only second “clinical loss” (they don’t traditionally count chemicals) It’s been a crappy month. Going to seek out a fertility specialist in the mean time. We started trying last July. Had chemical, MMC, MMC. And that’s with the supplements suggested in “it starts with the egg”. Suggestions welcome. Sticky baby dust to all you brave ladies. <3

I'm so sorry for your loss, it's indeed crappy and especially around your birthday too (happy birthday!). I had my MC last month 2 days after my 36th birthday so I really feel for you and your situation. I'm taking so many supplements now it's intense. I've only heard to wait a cycle, did the doctor say why you need to wait for 3 cycles?

Hey, I’m really sorry for your loss, we lost ours at 11+5 and it’s heartbreaking. The miscarriage association actually informed us that there is really good evidence to start trying as soon as you are ready. There is research to show that because you still have the hormones etc, there is a higher chance of carrying till the end for a baby conceived within 6 months of a MC. You can find a bit of evidence for this online, but it’s very new guidance. They used to encourage people to wait 3-6 months, but they are changing that guidance. I hope that helps x

We waited 5 months and now successful with out rainbow. 20weeks on Monday. I had a MMC last June and had a D&C to remove we decided to wait until ready and started trying again in November and luckily happened straight away. Don't loose hope it will happen xx

As far as I understand it that's outdated advice and there's no need to wait. Usually, they say wait until after your first period after the MC but even that is just to make a new pregnancy easier to date because it can cause a lot of anxiety if you don't know how far along you are. I've needed d&c for weeks as medical management doesn't seem to work for me but unfortunately I've had pneumonia so they won't do it. Currently booked for next Fri if im recovered enough and i expect to try again as soon as I've tested negative. I'll do ovulation tests to mitigate the dating problem
