Curly hair moms HELP!

Every morning, my daughter wakes up with her hair like this… from rubbing her head, it’s completely dry & a tangled mess! I have to wet and condition it and comb everyday. But I’m worried it’s causing damage to her hair. She’s only 7 months so too small for a silk bonnet. Any age appropriate advice as to what I can do??

Hard to tell from the disaster photo! But she has 3B/3C hair

@Joanne thanks! I just worry about it coming untucked from her mattress, she’s very fidgety at night and always pulls blankets and things over her face 😵‍💫

Her hairs long enough to add little twist you try that?

she’s actually not too small for a silk bonnet! you can find baby/toddler sized bonnets.. personally i get them from Temu. if you can’t find one, get her a silk pillowcase or silk sheets! <3

They make silk sheets for cribs/ bassinet! Silk pillow cases would help! I use to put coco shea butter Vaseline on my sons hair. They have the same exact hair type and he also had a bald spot where hers is. After a year it finally started growing I used doo growth oil when I felt his hair needed it

I got some silk lined beanies on Amazon! Super excited to try them out on my baby girl

@Sophia thankyouu!!

I would say to add the moisture back in the morning with water and conditioner and try not to comb everyday. Put spray it on, give it a tussle through and maybe some product to reduce the frizz like curl cream but definitely reduce the amount of combing xx

I'd go with some leave in conditioner a spray if best and silk sheet so she can stop breaking it off there's a spray called daily doc and I love that for coily curls maintenance

Cocunut oil and and try not to comb it only hand detangling. I used silk cot sheets they were great!
