Depo shot

I was on the depo shot about 15 years ago. It tool me about 3 or 4 months for my period to return. At the time my OBGYN told me it would take 10 months to a year for my ovulation to return to normal and to wait at least 7 months before trying again. I would talk to your OBGYN about it and see if that still holds true for today.

@Sarah thank you.!!! I had an appointment with my obgyn last week to talk about if it's safe to try right away or to wait until I get my first period. She said either one is safe but if I choose to wait until I get my first period it will help me to keep track. I was also getting very bad cramps last week as well, she told me it could be since the depo shot is wearing off that could be the reason why I'm getting cramps. Do you remeber getting cramps while coming to an end with your depo shot.?

I think I might have had mild cramps but I have always been lucky to only have non or very mild period cramps. I do remember being very tired and emotional the first couple of weeks after coming off it. Figured it was just my hormones balancing out.

Hi I was supposed to get my depo shot on Jan 11 but I didn’t go I got my shot on march 27 then I had sex and my bf had pre cum and put it back in can I get pregnant off of that

@Audi I am currently off from the depo shot but when i was on it for the first time in August, and since it was my first time trying out that method I was told to wait 7 days before having unprotected sex.

@Audi but im not quite sure maybe it could be different since you were on it but then went off and went on it again, I've heard it takes a while for your hormones go back and to get your first period.
