Yes I did last year, well almost a year ago. I had a vaginal birth. I absolutely loved it. I had a birth plan printed out and they followed what I wanted in the birth plan. My nurses and doctors both shifts were so amazing and helpful 🥰

@Mackenzie🌻🐘 I’m glad you had a good experience. I want to create a birth plan but I’m not sure where to start.

I have! It was my first and it was the best choice I made! My doctor was Tangela Tull but i had to get an emergency C-section and she was available 😭(i really love her lolol) So Erica Nicholson did it and she was good! You are going to be in great hands! The nurses in mother and baby unit are HEAVEN SENT! They make me almost want to have another baby 🤣 lol

@briana I had in mine the type of birth I wanted, Who would be in the room, What the sex of the baby was, What I didn’t want them to do. Ex: Keep having to do a cervix check. What I wanted. Ex: Skin to skin immediately after birth, Brest feeding. They also allowed me to bring any blankets pillows and my sound machine with my playlist!

@Adrienne that sounds great. Thanks you ! 🙌🏼

I delivered twice at Mercy -2017 and 2022. The first I labored for quite a while and it ended in an unplanned c section and the second was a planned c section. My doctors are with Hoffman and Associates so your experience may vary (also depending on the nurses on staff when you go into labor) but I had great experiences with my overall team. There is a wonderful lactation consultant on staff named Deedee that you should absolutely ask to meet with once you deliver. She is amazing. You can get a tour if it would make you more comfortable but overall both were good experiences (as good as a labor experience can be 🙃)

I did! I had a C section and had a wonderful experience. Dr. Dennis did my surgery and was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately she’s not there anymore :( All staff was amazing.

I loved it!!! I had a C-section back in September and the staff were phenomenal!! I highly recommend!

I did back in July, it was a vaginal birth. My doctor was Remya Arul. The aftercare team was pretty good for the most part, the only “complaint” I have is that I asked for my doctor specifically to deliver my son and no students to be in the room….which did not happen. I looked on Pinterest for templates to create a birth plan …… I also heard that Tangela is a great doctor as well

I did, with my first born back in 2017. I ended up having an emergency C-Section…. Was not a pleasant experience under Dr. Lawyer. However I know I few people who have had pleasant experiences with their L&D team. Safe delivery to you! 🤍

I just had my baby there last week. Dr Taylor was my dr and she was great thru my whole pregnancy but when I went in for my induction, she made me feel rushed and she was pushy. Idk if it was bc it was my third baby or what but it kinda felt they were just like, okay your good, see ya! They didn’t really take the time to give me any instructions or anything.

@Rachel thanks !

@Kourtney I have met that doctor before. Thanks great information

@Tai thanks helpful information !

@Sara thank you. Your response was helpful!

I had all 3 of my kids at Mercy. Only hospital i trust but my experiences were ok. Nothing bad but nothing spectacular. My doc this time was Dr. Taylor. I wasnt a fan of hers too much. I love tough love dont get me wrong but she came off a bit like a woman in a mans field kinda energy iykyk. I liked dr. Manning but idk if she still works there. The only hospitals i recommend is Mercy and GMBC.

@Ivory thanks

Drs Dennis (who has since left), Anderson-Tull (Tangela), and Arul are all part of Hoffman and deliver at mercy and yes are wonderful! Anderson-Tull delivered my first and Dennis the second

It was amazing. We didn’t have a birth plan, I was induced and everything happened very fast. The Hoffman group is the best specifically Dr.Hoffman and Dr. Anderson Tull. Going back for this pregnancy with Dr. Tull. Had concerns about black maternal rates, preeclampsia, anything under the sun—they made me feel whole and included my family on information that other doctors would’ve looked over. They even give hugs haha!

@Serena my doctor is with Hoffman group so thanks I’m looking forward to it
