Child benefit

I got £99.50 but I’m not sure if that’s because it’s not 4 weeks into April yet? So it will depend which weeks it’s fallen in if you get me? X

As Sophie said, think it only came into effect from 7th April

I only got £96 so it must of only changed as of April the new tax year

I am the same as you - I was thinking to call them and ask them the same. I wonder if they just adjusted it to reflect that it started on 6th April rather than the 1st. If I find out I’ll post a reply again here.

I managed to call the Child Benefit office this morning. They have told me that they’ve calculated the new payment from 6-8th April so everyone who’s received less is the result of this month being adjusted to reflect that it’s about a week later in line with whenever your payment week is. I’ve been told the full payment will be given from the next month. Hope this helps.
