Elective c-section and tubal removal

Has anyone else considered or look into this? I am 37, pregnant with my first but always wanted to be one and done (husband also agrees). This pregnancy cemented that, I feel absolutely the worst I’ve ever felt and do not want to risk going through it again. My husband is open to vasectomy but I’ve read tubal removal can actually have additional health benefits like decrease ovarian cancer risk so want to look into it more. Anyone else, particularly in the US, did this? Would love to hear how was the experience.

I have 4 girl 12/10/3 and 4 months and I just had mines done in December and honestly I think it’s the best thing that we could’ve done. My spouse also had a vasectomy. We have two kids together and we’ve looked into this for both of us because we’ve just decided we are done. There’s no really big difference besides the C-section but I mean after a few hours I was up and walking around after my first week I felt OK. It wasn’t so sore.

I had a salping ectomy

I just had it done during my 2nd csection in Nov. It only added a few extra minutes to the whole thing. I was doing skin to skin with baby girl so I didn’t even notice. I’m glad I did it then. So easy. No added recovery issues. My husband did also get a vasectomy because we don’t want any chances.
