Colostrum collecting syringes and no caps?
Got syringes from Midwife but no caps came with it and wondering if there's an alternative way to store and keep it sterile please?

They are still sterile from the midwife. The NHS no longer provide caps due to choking risks. For storage, once expressed just slot the syringe back into the packet, write the date on the paper side, stick in a freezer bag and into the freezer ☺

I ordered some on Amazon which come with the caps but I’d say ring and ask them but keep the syringes off the midwife anyway for as and when. You could always express into a sterile cup and just use the syringe there and then if baby needs something x
