Montessori

What do y’all think about putting your kid to Montessori at 20 months old? It’s hard to make the decision.

It really depends on the child and what you hope childcare looks like. Montessori programs have toddler rooms, they tend to be a little less structured than a casa room (the preschool age group). But it starts introducing how the "work" period is structured. I think when looking at Montessori you really need to look at your child and if they'll suit that environment. If the age is what you're questioning, 20 months isn't too young, in the Montessori program I support they get toddlers as young as 16 months, they educators know how to adjust for different ages coming in.

Thank you, we recently visited one location for an open house and their program looked like it would suit my son’s needs. They offered to take him in at 16 months too. But It’s just making the decision to get him in at such a young age is what’s super hard for me.
