Ivf after c-section

Hi! I just had my first child via ivf 6 weeks ago. It ended in an emergency csection. We have 1 embryo on ice that we’d like to try in about a year. I’ve read that it can be harder to conceive after csection. Any thoughts or experiences?

No experience, but following this because I had my first via IVF and emergency C section 13 weeks ago. My guess would be that the concern arises from build up of scar tissue. I’ve been going to PT and working on scar mobilization to try and reduce what I can.

In general it’s recommended to wait 18-24 months after a c section to get pregnant again so I would ask about how long. But I had no idea c sections had any affect on IVF. I just read about it tho and found multiple studies that did have negative findings, yes. But don’t let it stop you from trying.

It’s due to potential scarring on the uterus making it harder for the embryo to implant: I’m hoping for an FET later this year, the clinic will do a transfer 12 months after c section, I’ll be around 15/16 months and they said that was ok. They will do a baseline scan before we start the process and some blood tests have to be repeated.

I had my first child via ICSI ivf 19 months ago and ended in an emergency c section. I then later conceived naturally 6 months later and just had my second via planned c section in December. I know this doesn’t really answer your question, but hope it might help. We were very shocked to conceive naturally when it took 6 years to get our first. But yes I believe they advise at least 18 months between x

My doctor also told me I had to wait t least 18 months. I also did ivf and had an emergency csection

I had an emergency C-section with my 3 yr old and the SIS 1 year later confirmed no scar tissue was present and our 2nd was born last year.

IVF pregnancy with my first delivered by c-section. Currently 7+6 with my 2nd transfer. My dr did a saline sonogram and checked on my uterus and scar. My ob recommended 2 years between birthdays. I didn’t even ask my fertility clinic. I just reached out when I was ready and they were fine with the time line.

Congratulations how is you c section recovery any tips please
