So I don’t know nothing about my child’s fathers family . I think this will be bad on our child’s end because they will want to know about they dad side of family

Same boat, partners whole family live in South Africa, I’ve never really spoken to them. I send his mom pictures of our daughter every few weeks, but that’s it. I dont really see the big deal 🤷🏼♀️. I grew up only knowing my mom’s side of the family. If your baby is surrounded by loving family members then they’re not going to know any different
My three youngest children don’t know who their parents are or any of their biological family. It caused no end of issues when I was pregnant with them especially details of their mother and history. When they’re older I will try to help them find out what we can but till then they have a family in us.
