Weight gain

Currently 17 weeks with my second baby. Was trying super hard this time to not gain as much weight as I did with my first baby (lockdown)
I have been going to the gym 3-4 times per week. Eating a healthy balance diet. I have of course had a few more takeaways than normal during the first trimester but nothing excessive.
I am definitely eating more calories than pre pregnancy because I was in a calorie deficit and dieting.

Trying to stay positive but just feeling deflated and can’t understand why I’m not one of these women that gains 10lbs the whole pregnancy 😂
Any advice/ tips what I can do to slow the weight gaining process down? 11lbs up already! 😔😫

I would say just try to not stress about it too much. It sounds like you're doing all the right things!

It's normal to gain 2-4 pounds in the first trimester then 1 pound a week until you give birth, so being 11lbs up puts you more or less in the normal range.

Remember that going to the gym will mean you're putting on muscle which weighs more than fat.

Try not to concentrate on the numbers but how you feel/look 😊
