Anyone else have an anterior placenta, what does the baby’s movement feel like? I had a posterior with my first and the movement was so strong and it was pretty clear to me if it was a kick or a hiccup.
This time with an anterior it feels way more jerky. I’m constantly wondering if it’s a kick, a hiccup or just a convulsion. So I’m not sure if I should be worried or what. It’s a lot different and I don’t know how to interpret it. The movement is for sure muffled but I can still feel something pretty consistently at this point. Hiccups seem to be the most noticeable right now but it’s like a full body jerk with it that I feel all over.
Would like to hear anyone else’s experience with this!

It took me a little longer to feel this time then last and I feel like baby kicks lower or to the side I feel it when I lay in my side that he moves towards the side I’m on definitely feels muted but it’s still early some people don’t feel movement till about 24 wks so it may just be they aren’t that strong yet

My first had an anterior placenta. My second and third (current) are posterior. With my first I remember feeling hiccups very well and his movements were felt more internally but he loved snuggle my placenta lol he was a very sleep snuggly baby so even during ultrasounds he didn’t move around much. Later on I felt him a lot in my ribs since he loved to stretch as long as he could and he loved shoving his butt out whenever we talked to him. I also felt movement very regularly and even early but it just feels different. My third likes to lay facing my spine a lot so her movements feel a lot like my firsts movements then since it’s more internal

I have an anterior placenta and I have started to feel stronger kicks in the last week or two. I notice it more if I lay on my back for a little while before bed or on the couch.

I'm 24 weeks, plus size & have an anterior placenta. I just started feeling them in the last week. I feel kicks low and downward.

I’m also plus size which made me more worried I wouldn’t feel movements

I’m plus sized and have an anterior placenta as well. I’ve felt some movement since 18 weeks but STRONG since 20 weeks. Like, currently being pummeled by baby doing god knows what in there as I type this, strong 😂 and she has been quite active all morning!

Yea anterior takes a little longer for you to feel baby movements , my doctor told me that sometimes you’ll feel baby move more days than other but don’t be frighten cause this little Mama inside me prove me wrong everyday 🥰

I also have an anterior placenta. It’s my first so I don’t even know if it’s a somersault, twirl, twist, jab, kick or hiccup. As long as she’s moving I’m fine. lol. But I didn’t feel much until probably 20-21 weeks. And even then it wasn’t a lot. It was random little movements only. But now I definitely feel her more.

I have an anterior placenta and my son’s kicks and movements are stronger and more defined than my posterior babies.

I had one and felt flutters around 22 weeks. Most moms feel it around 18 weeks but with anterior placenta may not feel kicks until after 20-22 weeks. Try and focus on your sides and lower down, as this is where you're more likely to feel movement. It can be a bit tricky tho. Definitely talk with other mommies and your midwife if you still have doubts. I was so anxious and had to join a support group suggested by my OB. It really helped me calm down and stay positive.
